Dark world-Animal slaughter festival in Nepal
On November 24, about one million people gathered in a small village in Bariyapur, Nepal, to witness a large-scale sacrifice ceremony in which tens of thousands of animals were slaughtered. The festival was widely criticized. Followers traveled long distances to attend this traditional Gadhimai festival to worship Goddess-symbol of power, and is held in Nepal every five years.
